Join the VFW

There is a common bond that exists between the men and women who have shared the military experience in battle: A shared sense of duty and a common belief in a cause higher than self. Our nation's veterans chose to serve and by doing so, assumed all the risks associated with maintaining freedom. VFW members are here bColor graphic showing Uncle Sam figure asking You to Join the VFWecause they understand the true essence of America and its ideals and beliefs and the price they paid to be eligible to join the ranks of the VFW.

As yesterday's defenders of freedom we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group. Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace. Become part of the VFW family today so you can make a difference in your community tomorrow.

See if you are eligible. You may surprised by the flexible eligibility criteria.  For example, 30 days service in Korea or its territorial waters since 1949 may qualify you.

You may also contact the National Archives to obtain copies of your military records.

VFW Post #2010 pays eligible member's first year's dues.  Of course we also encourage veterans to consider a life membership.

Your separation document or DD 214 must reflect campaign medal service to establish eligibility. Service in Korea without the issuance of a campaign medal can be established with additional support documentation. Hostile Fire or Imminent Danger Pay can be established with pay records.

Your next step after reviewing and meeting eligibility criteria is to contact us. We hope to welcome you!
