Quartermaster Letter

From: Quartermaster, VFW Post 2010

My name is Lee Roy Franklin and I am the Veterans of Foreign Wars Quartermaster for Post #2010. I have held this position for 2 years.

Color photograph of Lee Roy Franklin reviewing documentsI served with the 356th Signal Corps in the U.S. Army, in Korea in 1960-61. I remained in the U.S. Army until September 1961. Then in October 1961, I went to work as a television engineer in Bryan and Killeen. I have been a member of the VFW since 1995 and a life member since 1997.

Originally from Cameron, I graduated from our local high school in 1954 and have returned and been a resident here since 1992. My wife is a very active member of the Ladies Auxiliary and I have one son.

As Quartermaster, one of my responsibilities is overseeing the fiscal matters and sound business practices of the post. We give strong attention to balancing the needs of the community with our fundraising efforts. All the while, we want to make a safe, affordable place that encourages members of our community to enjoy themselves.

Our post has very strong financial stability. We are around for the long haul and make tremendous contributions to our local community, our veterans, and our folks serving overseas. From our giving to our local Voice of Democracy scholarship winners to supporting our overseas troops through the Military Assistance Program, our VFW Post #2010 is committed to helping you.

In comradeship,

/s/ Lee Roy Franklin
